Tulips in Bloom
Spring 2006
- Vol. 19 No.1
A generous selection of new and
old-favorite
tulips can be viewed
along the sides of the
greenhouse at the
garden center. This
is the opportune
time to select and
order the cultivars
you want to plant
for next year – no
more of that “now
what was the name of
that gorgeous tulip I saw
last spring…”. You pick out
your favorites – we defy you to
choose just one! – and correlate your choices with a numbered order form
from the Garden Shop. You may want
to make several visits, order form in
hand, to see the range of early, mid,
and late-blooming tulips, but give
us your order by the end of
May. The order should have a
minimum of 10 bulbs per
cultivar, yes or no to substitutions,
and payment at last
year’s prices. It’s much
more fun to order when you
can see and smell the flowers,
and see where to put them in
your garden. You can even put discreet
markers in your garden now to locate
the fall plantings. |
