Nepeta faassenii 'Six Hills Giant'
Catmint
ZONE 3-8, HT 24-26", SUN
Violet-blue flowers from June until fall. Beautiful in the sunny border! The gray-green foliage is wonderfully fragrant when touched.

Nepeta faassenii 'Walkers Low'
Catmint
ZONE 3-8, HT 2-3', SUN
Nepeta is such a rugged plant, we had to offer you another variety. This compact mound of gray-green fragrant foliage is adorned with lavender flowers for much of the summer. Walker's Low is the name of a garden, not a reference to plant size. 2007 Perennial Association Plant of the Year.

Nepeta latifolia 'Super Cat'
Catmint
ZONE 3-8, HT 48-52", SUN
Broad, gray-green leaves on a tall, upright plant. The 8" long blue-violet flower spikes resemble agastache and make wonderful cut flowers. The characteristic fragrant foliage makes it unattractive to deer and rabbits, but butterflies and hummingbirds love the flowers.

Nepeta x faassenii 'Blue Wonder'
Catmint

ZONE 3, HT 12", SUN
A great groundcover for hot, dry sites. Forms a soft gray-green mat of scented foliage covered with large purple flowers all summer. Also works great at the front of the perennial border or use to underplant a rose bed.

Oenothera fruticosa subsp glauca
Evening Primrose; Sundrops
ZONE 4-8, HT 1-2', SUN/PART SUN
Large, cup-shaped, bright yellow, four-petaled flowers will bring sunshine to even the cloudiest of Vermont days. People often come in asking for this plant when they see it blooming in gardens in early summer.

Onoclea sensibilis
Sensitive Fern
ZONE 3-7, HT 24-36", SUN/PART SUN
A good fern for a sunny, moist area. Spore bearing fronds are very attractive and often used in dried flower arrangements.

Osmunda cinnamomea
Cinnamon Fern
ZONE 3-7, HT 18-24", PART SUN/SHADE
A good choice if you need a leafy filler for a shady spot. Light green, lacy leaves. Prefers moist soil. A beautiful and delicious fern (you can eat the "fiddleheads").

Osmunda claytoniana
Interrupted Fern
ZONE 3-7, HT 3-5', PART SUN
Very similar to the Cinnamon Fern. Mid-way along the frond the pinnae are interrupted by smaller spore-bearing pinnae. Tolerates dry, neutral soils better than most. Quite foolproof. The fiddleheads in spring are deliciously edible.

Osmunda regalis
Royal Fern
ZONE 3-7, HT 24-36", SHADE
A long-stalked beautiful fern of light green color. Does best in very moist, acid soil.
