Vermont Perennials

Horsford Gardens and Nursery has been growing perennials for over a century (see our 'History' section). They are grown from root division, cuttings and seeds. Just about all of our perennials are test grown either in our display garden or a test growing bed here in Vermont.

Historically our perennials were only grown in the fields where they were dug and shipped bareroot every spring. All of them are now available in containers, allowing you to plant spring, summer or fall with full confidence.

We offer over 700 varieties of plants that are at least 2 year old plants which have gone through a dormant period. Browse and shop from our extensive growing area where there is always a staff gardener on hand to assist you.
