ARTIST INSTRUCTOR
JC Wayne | The Poartry Project

WORKSHOP
We’ve all heard of plein air art, but how about plein air poetry? Nature is one of our greatest palettes for experiencing inspiration, beauty, meaning and a sense of the sacred. Come explore how to draw on your varied senses for writing your experiences of outer and inner landscape into poetic form through poet-guided learning and meditative being, sitting, walking and dialoguing at the beautiful Horsford Gardens. Together, we will explore:

> Examples of various poetic forms and ways to use them
> Key elements of poetry to explore and try in your writing
> Techniques to amplify the senses and release the spirit of creativity
> Moving through outer and inner landscape for poetic expression
> The nourishing joy of sharing each other’s poems from the day

NO PRIOR WRITING EXPERIENCE NEEDED. New explorers of all ages welcome and encouraged!

PLEASE BRING:
> Something to write on (notebook, paper, electronic device
> A writing tool (pen, pencil, crayon, collage materials, etc.)
> Comfortable walking shoes and clothing
> A blanket, cushion or portable chair to sit on
